A hand with the first steps.
Let’s get
your morning going.
Setup notes and answers, all in one place.
Getting started
- Open GetOut on your iPhone.
Follow setup to allow alarms and connect your puck.
- Choose your alarm.
Set your wake-up time and repeat days. Put your puck away from your bed before you go to sleep.
- Make the walk.
When the alarm goes off, get up, open GetOut and scan your paired puck to complete the wake session.
Scanning your puck
Open the scan flow in GetOut and hold the top of your iPhone close to the puck. Keep it there briefly while the scan completes.
My puck isn’t being recognised.
Check that you’re using the puck paired with your app. Start a fresh scan in GetOut and reposition the top of your iPhone close to the puck. If your case gets in the way, try scanning without it.
I can’t reach my paired puck.
Use the app’s emergency recovery option when you need it. Recovery is recorded separately from a morning completed by scanning your puck.
Morning Protection
In settings, open Morning Protection. Allow Screen Time access, choose the apps, categories or websites you want to pause, and select 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Tap “Save and enable”. Protection starts after your successful wake-up scan.
My apps are still restricted.
Open Morning Protection in the app and choose “Release restrictions”. This clears GetOut’s Morning Protection. Other Screen Time restrictions may still apply.
